Repair and Balancing of RAS Impellers

The City of Austin is seeking a contractor to repair and rebalance two Morris activated sludge impellers using the Belzona epoxy repair method. The contractor must have experience with similar repairs and provide a minimum one-year warranty for their work. The scope of work includes surface preparation, epoxy application, curing, and dynamic balancing of the impellers. The contractor will be responsible for shipping and receiving the impellers, as well as providing documentation and certification of their work. Key aspects of the job include: * Utilizing the Belzona epoxy repair method (Belzona 1321) to resurface existing cavitation and corrosion damage on the impeller * Performing surface preparation in accordance with Belzona's published specifications and manufacturer-recommended procedures * Conducting a thorough inspection of all components prior to repair and documenting observed conditions * Rebalancing the impellers to operate at 590 revolutions per minute (RPM) and providing certified balance reports * Ensuring all work is completed within the agreed turnaround time, not to exceed three months from receipt of materials
