Culler Road Project

The Lexington County Department of Public Works is seeking competitive bids from South Carolina Department of Transportation approved contractors for the purpose of improving Culler Road. The project includes clearing and grubbing, removal and disposal of existing asphalt pavement, excavation, fine grading, and installation of hot mix asphalt surface course. The contractor will be responsible for maintaining traffic, installing erosion control measures, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. The project is expected to take 210 calendar days to complete. Key features of the project include: • Clearing and grubbing within right-of-way • Removal and disposal of existing asphalt pavement • Excavation and backfilling • Fine grading and proof rolling • Installation of hot mix asphalt surface course • Maintenance of traffic and installation of traffic control devices • Erosion control measures, including silt fences and sediment tubes • Compliance with all applicable regulations, including SCDOT and SCDES requirements
