McCorkle Creek Detention Structure Phase 2

The Lexington Flood Control Zone District is seeking bids for the McCorkle Creek Detention Structure Phase 2 Modifications project. The project involves raising the existing earthen detention structure, constructing a reinforced concrete spillway, and installing various pipes and structures. The work must be completed within 400 working days. Key aspects of the project include: • Providing all materials and labor for the construction work • Raising the existing earthen detention structure approximately 15-feet • Constructing a 200 foot long by 75 foot wide reinforced concrete spillway • Installing 305 linear feet of 48-inch diameter ductile iron pipe • Installing 1,500 linear feet of gravel access road • Plugging and abandoning 160 linear feet of existing 36-inch storm pipe • Implementing erosion and water pollution control measures • Restoring the site after completion of the work
