Description
Diné College, a tribal college of the Navajo Nation, seeks a qualified law firm to provide comprehensive legal services covering governance, employment, tribal law, contracts, policy, and litigation as needed. The contract will run for an initial three‑year term with optional one‑year extensions, requiring a principal attorney licensed in the Navajo Nation and Arizona or New Mexico, professional liability insurance of at least $1 M, and adherence to strict conflict‑of‑interest and data‑security protocols. Proposals must include detailed qualifications, fee structures, and proof of insurance, and the firm will be evaluated on experience, cost, tribal familiarity, responsiveness, and Navajo preference.
• Core services include board governance advisement, employment and labor relations, Navajo Nation law compliance, contract drafting/negotiation, policy development, and procurement counsel.
• Specialty services on an as‑needed basis: litigation in state, federal, and tribal courts; construction and capital‑project advice; public‑finance and tax‑credit structures; government‑relations support; land use and risk‑management consulting.
• Mandatory reporting: monthly activity summaries, 2‑business‑day response to routine inquiries, 72‑hour breach notification, and annual performance evaluation.
