Trident II (D5) Strategic Weapon System Guidance Accelerometers

The Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) is seeking White Paper Capability statements from interested firms to determine their capability to produce, manufacture, analyze, and test the accelerometer for the MK6 MOD 1 Guidance System. The contract type will include Cost Plus Incentive Fee, Term Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs), with a base year FY26 effort from 1 January 2027 – 31 December 2029, and one option period to run from 1 January 2028 – 31 December 2030. The work will require twenty (20) Full Time Equivalent (FTE) personnel who must provide on-site support in Cambridge, MA, Pittsfield, MA, or Clearwater, FL. • The contract requires extensive knowledge in manufacturing and engineering experience on Strategic Guidance, Navigation, and Fire Control systems. • The contract requires a detailed understanding and application of inertial and stellar subsystems of Guidance systems. • The contract requires the ability to perform design, analysis, test, procure, and manufacture material for service life of inertial sensors. • The contract requires the ability to provide and procure labor and consumable material that meet the requirements outlined in approved drawings of the MK6 MOD1 Guidance System accelerometer.
