The Farmingdale State Development Corporation is seeking a long-term partner to design, build, and operate a multi-field athletic complex focusing on tournament lacrosse on the campus of Farmingdale State College. The complex should include multiple NCAA regulation-sized synthetic turf lacrosse fields, exterior perimeter fencing, field lighting, and optional support buildings and parking. The developer will be responsible for covering all costs associated with the project, including survey, engineering, site work, design, architecture, construction, legal fees, permitting, and operation of the complex. The project is expected to last for 30 years, and the developer should have a proven track record of large-scale construction projects and operation of commercial facilities. Some key points to consider include:
• The developer will be responsible for securing all funding for the project without any encumbrance on the FSC property.
• The developer should propose a concept including the number of fields, expected tournament usage, potential for campus use, and revenue opportunity for site utilization.
• The project requires a proven track record of organizing and hosting national-scale lacrosse tournaments.
• The developer should have experience with athletic facilities, restaurants, hotels, or other similar hospitality businesses.
