Description
The State of Iowa is conducting a Request for Quote for a contractor to provide a temporary gravel access road to the Newton Correctional Facility. The project includes stripping topsoil, compacting the subgrade, placing geogrid beneath the gravel, and finishing the road with Class "A" road stone. The base bid includes a 700' long x 10' wide access road with a 30' x 30' turnaround area, and an alternate bid includes an additional 450' x 10' wide access road. The project requires a background check and PREA training for all personnel working on-site.
• The project must be completed by May 29, 2026.
• The contractor must provide a performance and payment bond.
• The contractor must provide insurance that meets the required limits and additional insured requirements.
• The contractor must follow NCF procedures for entering the facility.
