Description
The Kansas Corporation Commission is seeking a qualified environmental consultant to assist in the analysis of environmental impacts of the Evergy electric transmission line on the Flint Hills Ecoregion. The consultant will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to the Commission, including preparing written reports and testimony for regulatory proceedings. The ideal candidate will have experience in environmental consulting, particularly in the areas of tallgrass prairie preservation and remediation, and will be able to provide high-quality services in a timely and efficient manner. Some key responsibilities of the consultant will include:
• Providing technical expertise and support to the Commission on environmental matters related to the Evergy electric transmission line
• Preparing written reports and testimony for regulatory proceedings
• Participating in hearings and meetings as required
• Collaborating with Commission staff and other stakeholders to ensure that environmental concerns are addressed
• Providing recommendations for mitigating environmental impacts on the Flint Hills Ecoregion.
The consultant will be expected to have a strong understanding of environmental regulations and policies, as well as excellent communication and analytical skills.
