Description
The South Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking a qualified contractor to provide on‑call brine‑application services for winter‑weather road maintenance throughout the state. The contractor will supply all labor, equipment, and support vehicles, while SCDOT provides the brine material. Work is performed on an as‑needed basis, with mobilization, operation, and demobilization rates capped by a fixed‑price schedule. The contract is initially one year with the possibility of four additional one‑year renewals.
• Provide qualified crew and brine‑application equipment (small, medium, or large units) on SCDOT direction.
• Perform pre‑event anti‑icing, active snow/ice response, and post‑event de‑icing on state‑maintained roadways.
• Follow SCDOT traffic‑control, safety, and environmental regulations; equipment must meet specified capacity and calibration standards.
