Description
The Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) is seeking a subcontractor to replace the roofs of four buildings: C50 ESAT Building, C52 PLT Power Building, C60 C Site Pump House, and D45 Rad Waste Handling Facility. The scope of work includes removing and replacing the existing built-up roofs, demolishing and removing existing roofing materials, inspecting and replacing integrated roof elements, and installing a new roof system with a minimum 30-year manufacturer's warranty. The subcontractor will be responsible for providing all materials, labor, equipment, and expertise required for the project.
• The project involves replacing the roofs of four buildings with new EPDM membrane, cover board, and insulation.
• The subcontractor must remove and recycle existing stone ballast and provide documentation.
• The new roof system must meet a minimum insulating value of R-30 average.
• The subcontractor must furnish and install counter flashing, copings, expansion joints, and other roofing components as required.
• The project requires coordination with PPPL and other contractors, including an abatement contractor for asbestos mitigation.
