Description
The City of Wilmington seeks a qualified contractor to remove 11 trees and/or stumps located on South 3rd Street public right‑of‑way and perform associated site restoration. Work includes complete tree removal, stump grinding to at least 24 inches depth, back‑filling and compaction, utility protection, daily debris disposal, and compliance with safety and traffic‑control standards. The contractor must complete the work within 60 days of the contract start date, provide all labor, equipment, insurance, and disposal services, and bear responsibility for any damage caused. Payment is made within 30 days after satisfactory completion and acceptance.
• Remove each tree in its entirety and grind each stump to a minimum 24‑inch depth.
• Back‑fill and compact each grinding site using material generated on‑site; extra fill at no cost to the City.
• Protect all underground utilities (contact NC 811) and adhere to OSHA/traffic‑control requirements; all traffic‑control costs are funded by NCDOT per Addendum 1.
