The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 8 is issuing a Notice of Intent to Sole Source a 90‑day bridge contract for waste management services at the C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center in Bay Pines, FL, and the Lee County Healthcare Center in Cape Coral, FL. The incumbent, Tri‑County Recycling, Inc., will continue providing collection, hauling, disposal, and related services to avoid any interruption while a separate competitive RFQ for the long‑term requirement is prepared. All responsible sources may still submit quotations or capability statements by the response deadline for consideration.
• Scope: General and recyclable waste collection, hauling, disposal, provision of containers/compactors, scheduled & on‑call pickups, weight‑ticket reporting.
