Pain Neuroscience Education for Bemidji Area

The Indian Health Service (IHS) is seeking a contractor to develop a comprehensive, evidence-based, enterprise-wide, scalable change package that includes provider and patient training materials across a variety of media formats to increase access to culturally grounded Pain Neuroscience Education (PNE) for American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) youth and adults. The contractor will be responsible for developing a curriculum that emphasizes patient education and self-management fundamentals, recognizes the role of historical and intergenerational trauma, and reduces low-value interventions. The curriculum will be delivered by qualified health providers and trained paraprofessionals in the medical and community settings. The contractor will also provide training materials, conduct focus groups, and evaluate the effectiveness of the training intervention.
