The NIH HEAL Initiative seeks to fund research centers that will implement and evaluate integrated clinical‑trial‑based interventions for patients with co‑occurring chronic pain (CP) and opioid use disorder (OUD). Awardees will lead a Coordination Center and multiple research projects (RM1 activity code) focused on health‑system level strategies, peer‑specialist involvement, implementation science, and scalability of proven patient‑level interventions.
