RFP: TO PROVIDE ASBESTOS HANDLER TRAINING

The Westchester Educational Opportunity Center (WEOC) is seeking a qualified instructor to provide asbestos handler training to students enrolled at WEOC. The selected proposer will be required to provide WEOC with asbestos handler training in all requested services as necessary and required by federal and state regulation to obtain NYS Asbestos Handler Certification for referred students enrolled at WEOC. The training will be delivered on site at WEOC, and the vendor will be required to meet with the WEOC Academic Affairs Assistant Dean to review lecture schedules and classroom policies. The vendor will also be required to attend new student orientations and introduce themselves to students, explain how the training will take place, and provide instructional materials to each student. Some key points to consider: • The WEOC offers Workforce Training Programs such as Asbestos Handler which prepares students to meet the requirements to take the state certification to obtain work in the related field of study. • Students referred to asbestos handler training must receive appropriate classroom instruction to ensure success in obtaining licensing per federal and state regulations for Asbestos Handler Certification. • The successful proposer will be paid on a fee-for-service basis for the service provided upon proper invoicing. • Proposers shall submit their responses to the items in Section V “Proposal Requirements” on a cost per student basis.
