The City of Anchorage’s municipal utility, Chugach Electric Association, is seeking a qualified contractor to replace existing overhead 12 kV and 35 kV power lines on Gambell Street (3rd‑Ave to 16th‑Ave) with new underground conductors, install associated conduit, vaults, and 600 A pad‑mount transformers, and relocate a transmission pole in the 10th‑11th Avenue alley. The work includes full trenching, directional boring, pavement removal and replacement, traffic‑control planning, and coordination with joint‑work partners GCI and ACS for future telecom‑utility integration.
