Larissa Drive (3305) Slope Mitigation

The City of Los Angeles is seeking bids for the Larissa Drive (3305) Slope Mitigation project. The project involves demolishing the remaining 6,500 square feet of gunite slope covering, scaling and removing approximately 200 cubic yards of loose soils and bedrock, and replacing the gunite with high-strength steel wire mesh. The project site is located in the Silver Lake area of Los Angeles and is owned by the City of Los Angeles, Department of Recreation and Parks. The project must be completed within 120 calendar days. • The project requires the installation of approximately 152 soil nails ranging from 13 to 29 feet in depth to secure the wire mesh on the slope face. • The project also requires the installation of erosion control matting between the slope face and the wire mesh. • The City has complied with the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act for the project. • The successful bidder must provide two good and sufficient surety bonds, a "Payment Bond" and a "Performance Bond", each for not less than 100 percent of the Task Bid Price.
