LANDFILL EQUIPMENT CLEANING

The County of Greenville is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive industrial cleaning and degreasing services for its landfill, transfer station, and support facilities. The services include exterior and mechanical degreasing of heavy equipment, tipper and scale cleaning, building washing, transfer station floor and wall degreasing, and trailer washing. The vendor must have experience working in active landfill and transfer station settings and be able to coordinate services around ongoing operations. The contract will be awarded based on factors such as cost, responsiveness to the RFP, references, experience with similar projects, and cleaning equipment. Some key aspects of the job include: • Degreasing heavy equipment using high-pressure washing systems and specialized wands • Cleaning tippers, scales, and transfer station pits • Washing buildings and trailers • Providing skid steer or mini excavator support equipment when needed • Recovering and managing contaminated wash water The vendor must also comply with various regulations, including the South Carolina Freedom of Information Act, the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
