Description
The State Department’s Bureau of Diplomatic Security is seeking market research on entities that can conduct explosive‑payload testing using unmanned aerial systems (UAS). The agency wants detailed technical, safety, regulatory, and past‑performance information to assess feasibility and identify potential vendors for future contract work. This is a non‑binding RFI; no funding is guaranteed at this stage.
• Technical capability: UAS platform specifications, payload capacity, range, endurance, and delivery accuracy.
• Blast‑testing methodology: safety protocols, data‑collection instrumentation, and explosive handling procedures.
• Regulatory compliance: current FAA waivers/COAs, ATF explosives licenses, and any other permits required for aerial delivery of explosives.
• Past performance: unclassified examples of delivering explosive payloads via UAS and related safety/security records.
• Company data: legal name, UEI, size classification, and existing contract vehicles.
