The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District, is conducting research to determine the market capabilities of potential contractors to perform dredging for anticipated projects for the upcoming fiscal year. The anticipated projects include maintenance dredging for various locations in North Carolina, such as Wilmington Harbor, Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point, Morehead City Harbor, and the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway.
• The projects require maintenance dredging of federal navigation channels and disposal of shoaled material at approved disposal sites.
• The contractors must have the capability to perform dredging using mechanical or hopper dredges and transport material to disposal sites.
• The estimated quantities of material to be dredged range from 400K to 1.5M cubic yards, and the magnitudes of construction range from $1M to $50M.
• The contractors must provide information on their capabilities, experience, and socio-economic status.
• The Government may not give credit to socio-economic class if there is not sufficient documentation to support it.
