Trade Package - Airport Substation Transformer Upgrade Project - TP 02 - Geotechnical Investigation

The Airport Substation Transformer Upgrade Project aims to replace two existing transformers with three new 55-MVA transformers, switchgear equipment, and other supporting electrical systems. The project will increase capacity and improve power supply reliability and redundancy. The subcontractor will be responsible for performing a comprehensive geotechnical investigation, including field and laboratory services, to characterize subsurface conditions and provide engineering recommendations. The project is located on the West of Bayshore property, which contains major utilities and a biologically sensitive habitat. The subcontractor must ensure no disruption to Airport Operations and minimize impacts to the San Francisco Garter Snake Recovery Action Plan during construction. Key responsibilities include: • Performing field, laboratory, and engineering services for a comprehensive subsurface investigation • Characterizing subsurface conditions and assessing hazards • Providing engineering recommendations • Meeting all code and specification standards • Maintaining calibrated equipment and following decontamination and safety protocols
