Description

The City of Charlotte is seeking a qualified vendor to replace the existing copper Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport with a modern Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) system. The project will modernize communications, add advanced features, and improve operational efficiency across the airport’s facilities. The contract is expected to be multi‑year with a total value between $5 M and $10 M. • Upgrade all airport telephone lines from copper POTS to IP‑based VoIP. • Design, install, test, and commission VoIP hardware, software, and network integrations. • Provide training, documentation, and ongoing support/maintenance for the new system.

Budget estimate

$5,000,000 – $10,000,000

The solicitation lists an estimated total project value of $5 M–$9.999 M. Assuming the awardee will receive the full contract amount (typical for a turnkey VoIP migration), the client’s potential earnings fall within that range. Factors influencing the final budget include the exact scope of work, any optional phases, and the multi‑year schedule, but a reasonable estimate is $5 M at the low end and $10 M at the high end.
