Description
The Shawsheen Valley Regional Vocational Technical School District is seeking proposals from qualified firms to conduct a System & Controls Assessment of the District’s finance and accounting operations. The purpose of this engagement is to perform a process-oriented internal control review of the District’s financial management practices in order to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of its internal control environment. The selected consultant shall conduct a comprehensive review of the District’s financial and administrative processes to evaluate internal controls, identify control gaps, and recommend improvements aligned with industry best practices for public sector financial management.
• The review shall focus on the effectiveness of existing systems, processes, and governance structures used to manage the District’s financial resources and compliance responsibilities.
• The selected auditors shall perform the System & Controls Assessment using a structured approach including planning, process walkthrough, risk and control development, gap analysis, recommendations, and communicate findings.
• The District requires prospective consultants to submit a complete proposal containing information about their qualifications, experience, and proposed approach to the project.
• The proposal shall include a Non-Price Technical Proposal and a Price Proposal, which shall be submitted separately.
