Budget estimate

$80,000 – $100,000

The solicitation caps the project cost at $100,000 and requires a small‑business reserve, indicating the agency expects the total contract value to fall near that ceiling. Typical contractor margins for similar dock‑replacement projects range from 10‑20 % of contract value. Therefore, the expected earnings for the winning contractor are likely between $80,000 (if the bid is at the lower end of the budget) and $100,000 (if the full ceiling is utilized). Factors influencing the final budget include the exact scope of pilings required, any unforeseen site conditions, and the inclusion of optional alternates or allowances.
