Main Street Parking Garage Elevator Decommissioning

The City of Norwich is seeking bids for the decommissioning of an elevator in the Main Street parking garage. The scope of work includes permanently decommissioning the existing elevator, terminating all electrical circuits associated with elevator operations, and rendering the remaining infrastructure safe. The work must comply with the Connecticut Basic Building Code, the BOCA National Building Code, the BOCA National Mechanical Code, and the Connecticut Fire Safety Code. • The elevator is located in the Main Street parking garage. • The work must be completed in accordance with the specified building codes. • The contractor must ensure that the elevator shaft is eliminated and all electrical circuits are terminated. • The contractor must render the remaining infrastructure safe. • The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. • The City of Norwich reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
