TITLE INSURANCE SERVICES FOR THE COUNTY OF MERCER

The County of Mercer is seeking proposals for title insurance services for a period of one year with the option to extend for an additional year. The selected contractor will provide title searches, title binders/commitments, and title insurance policies for the County's property interests. The contractor must be a duly licensed title insurance agency in the State of New Jersey and have at least five years of experience in representing New Jersey governmental entities. The proposal should include a compensation schedule, evidence of insurance agent/broker errors and omissions insurance, and compliance with the requirements of the Equal Opportunity Act. Some key points to consider: • The County holds the right to award multiple contracts. • The contractor must provide an original written quotation for each transaction and final invoice showing any discounts applied. • The contractor must be familiar with the New Jersey State Agriculture Development Committee guidelines and the Green Acres Title Commitment Report. • The contractor must have experience with urban land titles and eminent domain services. • The contractor must provide evidence of business registration and maintain sufficient insurance to protect against all claims under Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Automobile. The evaluation criteria will include understanding of the requested work, knowledge and technical competence, management and experience, ability to complete the services in a timely manner, and cost evaluation.
