Budget estimate

$200,000 – $500,000

Based on typical renovation costs for mid‑range multi‑family apartments in coastal North Carolina (approximately $50‑$80 k per unit for full gut‑rehab, including demolition, new cabinets, appliances, flooring, painting, permits, and contractor overhead), the total contract value for four units is likely to fall between $200,000 and $500,000. The lower bound assumes modest finishes and minimal unforeseen conditions; the upper bound assumes higher‑end finishes, extensive water‑damage remediation, and a generous contractor margin. The exact amount will depend on the contractor’s cost proposal, the County’s contingency allowance, and any change orders approved during construction.
