The Forest Service is seeking commercial forestry services to execute the Corral G‑Z Integrated Resource Stewardship Contract (IRSC) on the Fremont‑Winema National Forest, Bly Ranger District, Oregon. The effort combines timber harvest, fuels‑reduction, and ecological restoration to improve forest health, reduce wildfire risk, and meet timber production goals mandated by federal policy. Contractors will be responsible for planning, marking, harvesting, and processing sawtimber, as well as a suite of optional silvicultural and habitat‑enhancement tasks across roughly 6,095 gross acres.
• Mandatory work includes cutting and removing ~191,379 tons of commercial timber on ~7,000 acres, plus detailed GPS‑based mapping, pre‑ and final‑cruise plots, and a comprehensive logging plan.
• Optional work (subject to award discretion) adds control‑feature removal, plantation thinning, natural‑stand treatments, small‑tree thinning, hand‑piling, transmission‑line treatments, and additional timber removal in the Grizzly Project Area.
• Payments are based on a firm‑fixed‑price model with a minimum timber price of $9.29/ton for mandatory sawtimber and a $0.91–$9.29/ton range for optional timber; bid premiums may be applied to increase total contract value.
• The contract runs five years from award (through 30 Oct 2031) and requires compliance with numerous environmental safeguards (cultural‑site protection, wildlife buffers, water‑resource limits, and prescribed‑fire regulations).
