The USDA Forest Service is seeking proposals from qualified firms to perform comprehensive road surveys and prepare road package documentation for the “End of the World” long‑term stewardship project (≈50,000 acres) in the Salmon River Ranger District of the Nez Perce‑Clearwater National Forest. The work includes: • Conducting field surveys of existing forest roads using GPS/digital meters; • Recording work items, dimensions, and conditions; • Translating data into WSQE spreadsheets and cost estimates for timber‑sale road reconstruction; • Preparing standard R1 plan sheets, supplemental specifications, and cost‑guides in AutoCAD and Excel; • Delivering final road‑package packages (WSQE, plan PDFs, AutoCAD files, raw data). The contractor will coordinate an initial group field visit with the Forest Service COR, and all deliverables must conform to provided templates and the Pay Item Guide. This effort supports wildfire risk reduction, stand health improvement, and a steady supply of timber for local facilities.
