RFB 2027-03 - Fueling Facility Improvements

The City of Laurinburg is seeking a single‑prime contractor to replace and upgrade its fueling facility. The scope includes removal of two underground 12,000‑gallon gasoline/diesel tanks and associated piping, disposal of a DEF tank, installation of two new 12,000‑gallon above‑ground gasoline and diesel tanks, one new 850‑gallon DEF tank, new underground distribution piping, five new fuel dispensers (unleaded, diesel, DEF), and replacement of an existing canopy with a new structure. The work requires compliance with NCDEQ closure reporting, performance and payment bonds, and insurance per municipal requirements. Bids are to be submitted physically by the deadline, with a 5 % bid bond and 100 % performance/payment bonds. • Remove existing underground storage tanks, underground piping, and associated soils; prepare closure reports for NCDEQ. • Install new above‑ground storage tanks (two 12,000 gal for gasoline/diesel, one 850 gal for DEF) and associated underground piping to dispenser sumps. • Provide and install five new fuel dispensers and replace the existing canopy with a new 52’×55’ structure on existing footings.
