Supported Employment, Group Day Support, and Community Engagement Services

The City of Norfolk is seeking qualified vendors to provide Supported Employment, Group Day Support, and Community Engagement Services for individuals with developmental disabilities. The services include job-related discovery, person-centered employment planning, on-the-job training, and development of work-related skills. The contractor will be paid according to the prevailing Medicaid rates. The contract term is for five years. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing activities in a group and/or individual environment • Developing self, social, and environmental awareness skills • Participating in volunteer experiences and community integration • Maintaining contact with family and friends • Developing self-advocacy skills and exercising civil rights • Acquiring skills that promote self-control and responsibility over services and supports
