Notice of Intent to Sole Source: ATALASOFT ANNUAL MAINTENANCE

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) intends to issue a sole source award to Tungsten Automation Corporation DBA Atalasoft Inc. for the annual maintenance of the FSIS Label Submission and Approval System (LSAS). The LSAS is a mission-critical online system that tracks label applications and serves as a vital searchable database for products and establishments. The contract will include providing updates and technical support for Atalasoft DotImage and associated PDF Reader add-ons integrated within LSAS. The performance period will be a 12-month base year with potential for additional option periods. • The contract is for the maintenance of the LSAS system, which is a critical component of the FSIS. • The sole source award is due to the proprietary nature of the Atalasoft DotImage SDK and the exclusive licensing agreement with Tungsten Automation Corporation. • The contract will include a firm-fixed price purchase order for a 12-month period of performance.
