Description
The County is seeking a responsible contractor to construct a 3.5‑mile, 7‑foot wide ATV trail (Seven Beaver Trail) from the end of County Road 120/Skibo Rd to the St. Louis River Bridge crossing in Bassett Township. The work includes clearing, grubbing, grading, excavation, wetland fill, aggregate base and surfacing, installation of a 12‑in. CP pipe culvert, geotextile and geogrid stabilization, rip‑rap, boulder placement, signage, traffic control, sediment‑control logs, and final seeding/vegetation establishment. All work must comply with MnDOT 2025 Standard Specifications, MPPA storm‑water permits, USACE wetland permits, and species‑protection requirements.
• Scope: Earth‑moving, drainage, culvert installation, aggregate surfacing, erosion‑control BMPs, signage, and turf establishment for a recreational ATV trail.
• Schedule: Bid deadline 9 Sep 2026; construction to start ~26 Oct 2026 and be substantially completed by 18 Dec 2026, with final completion (vegetation) by 11 Jun 2027.
• Requirements: 5 % bid guaranty, responsible‑contractor verification, non‑collusion affidavit, workforce/equal‑pay certificates, environmental permits, tribal‑employment documentation, and full insurance/bonding.
