FY25 Dr. Nancy Foster Scholarship Program

The Dr. Nancy Foster Scholarship Program provides support for master's and doctoral degrees in oceanography, marine biology, maritime archaeology, and related disciplines. The program aims to promote excellence in ocean sciences and encourage women and minority groups to pursue careers in these fields. The scholarship provides yearly support of approximately $47,000 per student, including a 12-month stipend and tuition allowance. Scholars are required to participate in an annual week-long orientation and communication training, develop an outreach product, and provide at least one presentation about the Dr. Nancy Foster Scholarship Program and their research to a diverse audience.
