Catholic Coordinator of Religious Education (CRE)

The United States Marine Corps is seeking a Catholic Coordinator of Religious Education to provide services at the Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Iwakuni in Japan. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, and administrative support necessary to perform Catholic religious education services, including weekly Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) classes, Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA), sacramental preparation, adult faith formation, and coordination of pilgrimages and retreats. The contractor will also be responsible for volunteer management and training, maintenance of program records, and timely submission of all required reports. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing Catholic religious education services to the MCAS Iwakuni community • Coordinating and conducting religious education activities, such as CCD, OCIA, and sacramental preparation • Managing program administration, scheduling, reporting, and record-keeping • Complying with installation safety, facility, and access requirements • Recruiting and supervising volunteers The contractor must have the necessary qualifications, experience, and certifications to perform the required services, including certification or training in Catholic religious education or catechesis from a recognized Catholic institution or diocese.
