Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Honolulu District, is seeking letters of interest from prime contractors for a potential design-bid-build construction project to relocate deep wells above ground at Schofield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii. The project involves drilling four wells, each approximately 800 feet deep and 24 inches in diameter, and constructing a roof structure to protect the motors from the elements. The magnitude of the project is estimated to be between $50M and $100M. Interested prime contractors are required to submit narratives demonstrating their experience in constructing drilled potable water wells, capability of constructing on an active water treatment facility site, and ability to work with compressed construction schedules. • The project requires drilling four wells, each approximately 800 feet deep and 24 inches in diameter. • The existing wells and pumps will remain on-line until the new wells can manage peak demand. • The motors will be located above ground, and each well, pump, and motor must be sized to deliver a minimum of 2,000 gallons per minute. • The project requires a roof structure to protect the motors from the elements. • The magnitude of the project is estimated to be between $50M and $100M.
