Request for Proposals for Gravity Sewer Repair and Replacement Design Engineering Services

The Castro Valley Sanitary District is seeking proposals for professional design engineering services related to the Gravity Sewer Repair and Replacement Project. The project is based on the findings of the CVSan Gravity Sewer Asset Management Plan and includes various upgrades and repairs to the sewer system. The selected proposer will provide complete, accurate, and biddable construction documents, including plans, specifications, and an engineer's opinion of probable construction cost. Services will include review of available record drawings, geographic information system (GIS) data, and closed-circuit television (CCTV) inspection records, as well as field investigations and topographic and boundary surveying. Some key aspects of the project include: • Rehabilitation or replacement of 13 pipeline segments • Upsizing of existing 6-inch diameter sewer mains to 8-inch diameter mains • One spot repair of an existing 8-inch diameter sewer main • Inspection and condition assessment of existing maintenance holes • Development of recommended maintenance hole rehabilitation measures The proposal should include a brief description of the approach and methodology, professional qualifications and references, firm organization and project team, proposed project schedule, and proposed costs.
