NE 8th Avenue at Waldo Rd Redevelopment Construction Manager at Risk

The City of Gainesville is seeking a construction manager at risk for the redevelopment of the NE 8th Avenue at Waldo Rd site. The project includes the redevelopment of the Martin Luther King Multi-Purpose Center, the Dwight Hunter Pool Complex, and Citizens Field. The construction manager will be responsible for providing preconstruction and construction phase services, including design, construction, and project management. The project is expected to be completed in approximately 540 days. • The construction manager will be responsible for providing a professional and construction team capable of providing construction manager at risk services. • The construction manager will be responsible for developing a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) proposal to construct the facilities. • The construction manager will be responsible for making recommendations to save money for the construction process and for on-going maintenance. • The construction manager will be required to assist in the development of various aspects of the budget and cost estimating for the facilities. • The construction manager will be required to recommend the most beneficial and appropriate method to procure the trade contractors required to construct the facilities.
