Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) VISN 7 is conducting a market‑research Sources Sought/RFI to identify qualified contractors capable of supplying blood, blood‑related products, and associated testing services to VA medical facilities in Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina. The eventual contract will be a five‑year, firm‑fixed‑price IDIQ with a 24/7 service requirement, covering routine, ASAP, and STAT deliveries, donor‑drive support, laboratory testing, and value‑added consultative/educational services. Respondents must provide company information, size‑standard classification, capability statements, and relevant experience. No price quotes are required at this stage; the VA will use the responses to shape a future solicitation.
• Scope: Provide whole blood, components (RBCs, plasma, platelets, cryoprecipitate), autologous blood, and related laboratory testing (immunohematology, HLA, molecular) for 7+ VA facilities.
• Delivery: 24‑hour routine shipments; ≤4‑hour ASAP; ≤90‑minute STAT, 24/7 availability.
• Contract type: 5‑year IDIQ, firm‑fixed‑price, indefinite‑delivery/quantity.
• Requirements: All products must meet FDA/AABB standards, be 100 % volunteer‑donor, include donor traceability, and support emergency/force‑majeure exceptions.
• Additional services: Physician consults, education programs, and assistance with donor drives (no charge to VA).
