Description
The County is seeking qualified contractors to place a compacted clay cap and topsoil over the former Allis Chalmers Landfill, then establish and maintain a vegetative cover. The work includes material supply and transport, removal of existing vegetation, stripping and stockpiling of topsoil, earth‑moving, creation of access roads, grading and compaction of the cap, and post‑construction vegetative‑cover maintenance. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder and must be completed within 90 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed.
• Scope: cap construction, topsoil placement, erosion control, site grading, access‑road creation, and vegetation establishment/maintenance.
• Required actions: optional pre‑bid virtual meeting (May 20 2026), optional site walk (May 20 2026), submission of bidder’s certificate, surety/bond, EEO, TBE‑14, and other required documents.
• Timeline: Advertisement posted May 13 2026, pre‑bid meeting May 20 2026, bid deadline June 3 2026, 90‑day construction window after award.
