Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessment for SPRING Building at Finger Lakes Community College

The County of Ontario is seeking proposals from professional environmental consulting firms to conduct a Phase II Environmental Study on the site and Pre-Demolition Hazardous Building Materials Survey of the existing buildings. The purpose of this work is to identify the potential presence of hazardous materials such as asbestos, lead, PCBs, petroleum, and solvents. The selected consultant will perform sampling, laboratory testing, and interpretation of results to inform demolition plans and specifications, waste handling and disposal requirements, potential remediation actions, and design considerations for the SPRING building and associated site improvements. • The project involves the construction of a new 26,000 square foot building, including a 6,000 sq. ft. greenhouse, office space, science labs, classrooms, and storage areas. • The consultant will conduct a Phase II environmental investigation, including sampling and laboratory testing. • The consultant will provide a final report documenting the investigation and findings, including sampling documentation, laboratory analytical results, and recommendations for demolition and future construction activities.
