Description
The Syracuse VA Medical Center is seeking A/E services to evaluate the remaining life of its existing garage and to estimate the costs associated with extending its life and constructing a new smaller parking garage. The services shall be performed by a licensed structural engineer with experience in the structural evaluation of existing post-tensioned concrete parking structures. The scope of work includes demolition, relocation, and construction of a new parking structure, as well as extending the life of the existing garage by correcting identified deficiencies.
• Demolition of an existing 3,700 square foot single-story office building
• Relocation of adjacent bulk oxygen storage tanks
• Construction of a small parking structure to accommodate 130-180 parking stalls
• Extending the life of the existing 990-stall garage by correcting identified deficiencies
• Developing a construction cost estimate for complete replacement of the existing garage
