The U.S. Navy (NAVAIR/PMX‑201) issued an RFI to gauge industry capability for rapid‑prototype development of the Silent Anvil Air‑Launched Torpedo (SAA‑LT) standoff delivery system. The effort seeks concepts for either a full end‑to‑end torpedo solution or a glide‑wing kit that carries a government‑furnished torpedo effector, with a goal of demonstrating an operational prototype within 18 months and fabricating roughly 180 prototype rounds over three years.
