Solid Waste Scrap Tire Loading Area & Asphalt Shingle Storage and Processing Area

Iredell County is seeking a contractor to construct a Solid Waste Scrap Tire Loading Area and an Asphalt Shingle Storage and Processing Area. The project includes site work, product, materials, labor, equipment, and vegetation. The contractor must be qualified and licensed to perform business and construction services in the State of North Carolina and Iredell County. The project requires a minimal amount of clearing and grubbing, and the contractor must ensure that the final product meets or exceeds the original design standards and specifications. Key tasks include excavation, select fill, grading, retaining wall construction, concrete placement, and vegetation establishment. • The project includes an option to repair a storm water culvert at the ICATS department. • The contractor must provide a summary of relevant experience with similar projects. • A minimum of five relevant construction projects must be submitted with the bid. • The contractor must be properly licensed for the work they will be performing on the project. • The contractor is responsible for hiring a CMT firm to perform concrete testing and to check all steel reinforcement size and spacing requirements. • The contractor must ensure that all subcontractors are also licensed appropriately for the work they will be performing on the project.
