BCL-S33-Milk Lab Testing Evaluation-Sanitary Bacteriology

The Alabama Department of Public Health’s Dairy Program seeks a qualified contractor to perform on‑site evaluations of four state milk laboratories (Hurtsboro, Gordo, Russellville, Decatur) and to provide certification support, corrective‑action consulting, and training for a new Laboratory Evaluation Officer (LEO) in compliance with FDA requirements. All work must be completed within eight weeks of contract award. • Conduct four on‑site laboratory evaluations, produce detailed reports, and advise on corrective actions. • Deliver training curriculum, assess competency, and assist the candidate in obtaining FDA‑approved LEO status. • Coordinate all activities with the FDA Laboratory Proficiency Evaluation Team (LPET) and ensure compliance with state and federal dairy testing standards.
