Description
The Naval Sea Systems Command, Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC), is soliciting a sole-source modification to Vigor Marine LLC (Vigor) for the overhaul of the Rescue Boat Davit unit onboard the USS SAVANNAH (LCS 28). The work requires the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to overhaul the entire davit unit, which is considered Long Lead Time Material (LLTM). The USS SAVANNAH is currently undergoing a major dry docking repair period at Vigor's shipyard, and it is impracticable for another company to perform these support services in Vigor's dry dock concurrently with other ongoing repairs. The justification for the sole-source modification is based on the urgent nature of the requirement, the need to maintain mission readiness, and the potential risks and costs associated with delaying the work.
