Description

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is soliciting qualified contractors to remove existing crosswalk markings and install new, high‑visibility pavement markings on state‑maintained highways. The work will be performed on a lot‑by‑lot basis across multiple sites, following ODOT’s standard specifications for striping and marking. This RFQ is open for bidding from mid‑May through late May 2026, with a brief inquiry period for questions. Successful bidders will be responsible for all labor, materials, equipment, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations. • Remove all existing crosswalk paint and surface treatments. • Apply new reflective crosswalk markings in accordance with ODOT specifications. • Coordinate site access, traffic control, and safety measures with ODOT staff. • Provide all necessary materials, labor, and equipment to complete the work within the contract period. • Submit a detailed schedule and cost breakdown as part of the bid package.

Budget estimate

$5,000 – $20,000

Based on typical ODOT crosswalk marking contracts, which range from a few hundred feet to several miles of roadway, the total contract value is likely to fall between $5,000 and $20,000. The lower end reflects minimal site count and modest material needs, while the upper end accounts for multiple locations, higher material costs for reflective paint, and additional labor hours for traffic control.
