Description
The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) together with the Joint Science and Technology Office (JSTO) is seeking unclassified, innovative CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear) technologies for SCOUT 27, an Operational User Trial scheduled for 12‑18 Mar 2027 at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek‑Fort Story, VA. This Request for Information (RFI) is purely informational; no funding will be paid for responses. Submissions are accepted through the JETT portal by 9 Oct 2026, after which a down‑select will be conducted, and selected firms will be invited to complete a deeper technical questionnaire and possibly interview. The solicitation targets both mature prototypes (TRL 4‑6+) for field evaluation and early‑stage concepts (TRL 1‑3) for a static “Concepts Crucible” exhibition. The focus areas include decentralized early‑warning sensor networks, warfighter burden reduction, autonomous hazard mitigation, and tactical‑edge diagnostics. No contract award is guaranteed at this stage.
• Submit technology nominations (questionnaire + optional supporting documents) via JETT by 9 Oct 2026.
• Selected participants will complete a detailed Vulcan‑sof.com questionnaire and may be interviewed between 17 Nov 2026‑7 Dec 2026.
• Successful prototypes will be showcased and tested during the 12‑18 Mar 2027 event; early concepts will be displayed statically.
• No payment is offered for the RFI; participants bear all travel and shipping costs.
