Wilson Library Waterproofing

The University of Minnesota is seeking a contractor to provide construction services for waterproofing repairs at Wilson Library, located on the west bank of the Twin Cities campus. The project includes the excavation and installation of a new building waterproofing system, restoration and replacement of existing paved and landscaped areas, and associated exterior improvements. The library will remain open during construction, and the selected contractor will be expected to maintain all building emergency exits and the main entry open to the public. The project is expected to start on May 16, 2026, and be substantially complete by August 21, 2026. Key aspects of the project include: • Waterproofing repairs to the basement levels of Wilson Library • Restoration and replacement of existing paved and landscaped areas • Construction of a fire department access lane and associated exterior improvements • Maintenance of all building emergency exits and the main entry during construction • Compliance with University standards and procedures • Submittal of monthly reports to substantiate compliance with proposed commitments
