Job Readiness RFP

The Clark County Department of Job and Family Services is seeking proposals from qualified providers to facilitate Soft Skills in the Workplace/Job Readiness Workshops and provide a Computer Lab Assistant. The goal of the job readiness and computer workshops is to help each participant successfully transition toward personal responsibility and self-sufficiency. The provider will facilitate Pre-Employment Workshops for the target population, which includes Ohio Works First (OWF) applicants/participants, Seek Work participants, Comprehensive Case Management and Employment Program (CCMEP) participants, and others. The contract will be awarded for a two-year term, with the option to extend for one additional year. The provider must demonstrate an ability to meet the needs of non-English speaking clients and provide a description of their experience working with youth and knowledge of their needs. Some key requirements include: • Providing instructors for Soft Skills in the Workplace/Job Readiness and Computer workshops • Facilitating nine modules on a rolling basis, with the same module taught in each class per day • Providing coverage for assigned employees if they are not able to provide the service • Cooperating with Department case management staff regarding referrals and progress throughout the classes and to address any issues that arise • Providing a Computer Lab Assistant The evaluation criteria include the provider's experience and qualifications, approach and methodology, management approach, and cost proposal.
